A lifelong resident of East boston, Ms. Rubino founded the Academy after intensive dance training and returning from New York where she was a scholarship student at the School of American Ballet studying with faculty from the Imperial school of Ballet  of Russia. She is the originator of the only accepted nationally recognized Medal Test Program  for Performing arts Students in Ballet , Tap and Jazz and conducts seminars and training classes for this program. she is an International Examiner having judged in the United States, Canada, Italy and Sicily. In 1997 she was inducted into the Dance Hall of Fame as well as receiving commendations from the City of Boston and the state of Massachusetts recognizing her 50 years of dedication in "teaching in the East Boston Community". she was featured in the July 2007 issue of Dance life Magazine for over 60 years outstanding achievement in the field of dance. She is Past President of the Dance Teachers Club of Boston, member D ance Masters of america and member of the East Boston Chamber of Commerce.
